Manufacturing Solutions with Recovered Fiber
Packaging and Containerboard
Valued for their strength and durability, OCC and Kraft stockot rolls are an ideal source of fibers for manufacturing boxes and other shipping materials.
Newspaper and Low-grade Paper Products
ONP and Yellow Pages are utilized in applications where a high degree of strength and brightness is not critical. They are commonly blended with stronger pulp for the manufacturing of products such as newspapers, catalogs, insulation, tissue blends, and lower-grade printing paper.
Hygiene and Tissue Products
Premium tissue, napkins, and paper towels require soft, absorbent fibers like SWL (Sorted White Ledger). High-grade office papers (from SOP/CBS streams) are also used for facial tissue and hygiene products. These are the cleanest recovered fibers, ideal for soft, consumer-grade paper goods.
Printing and Writing Papers
Medium-to-high quality Printing and Writing Papers use cleaner fibers (SOP, Printer’s Mix, CBS) from office/publishing sources like copy paper, envelopes, and magazines. Although de-inking and cleaning are required, this material yields relatively high-quality pulp.
Specialty and Coated Board Applications
Niche materials like Poly Coated Board and SBS (Solid Bleached Sulfate) require specialized processing. Poly Coated Board needs plastic separated for reprocessing into packaging board. SBS, a premium paperboard for high-end items (cosmetics, food), demands extra coating removal processing.
